Failure is an option

Failure:  Not a word we like; not a description we like to have attached to us by others.  But in the living of life there is no escape from its clutches; it slips up on us unexpectedly and we fall and fail.  Sometimes morally, sometimes in achieving the goals of ourselves and others.  Sometimes it comes with a silent sting and sometimes with public humiliation.  Thankfully our God is the God of the second chance, the One who remembers sin no more and casts them into the depths of the sea and removes them as far as the east is from the west.  He allows us to keep serving in spite of our spotty record.   Some scars of sin remain long after the failure but no failure is final.  But what do we do - the reality is we are limited to a powerful set of responses to failure in our lives.  To make it simple I offer you not paragraphs or sentences but words- a list of words to cue your thinking and spark your imagination and hopefully restore you heart.  So here goes.

When faced with failure we can and should…

• Reorder
